Okay... We have ALL been there- you want to do something, but an unspeakable force eases you into thinking that it can be done later. Apathy takes hold of you and "later" turns into days. Days to months, months to years. Do you want to write a book today or in ten years?
If you are ready to write today, there is a very simple solution- don't do it alone. Just as you might not want to go to a gym alone, but you want results, find a writing partner. Your ideal partner should have the same desire to write a book.
A fun thing to do is decide that you will have "Due Dates" where each of you has to turn in a chapter (or two). Each of you should review the work of the other and provide feedback. The amazing thing about this is that both of you get your books done and you now have the opinion of a reader to fall back on. You will both improve as writers while knocking out your novels faster than you ever would have if you were flying solo.
Go out there and write a masterpiece.
